Interviews

  • Research the role.  This will show your interest in the role/organisation and may allow you to ask intelligent and relevant questions during the interview

  • Prepare yourself.  Think about occasions when you have demonstrated the relevant skills or competencies.  For example, you may be asked to provide an example of a time when you have exceeded a customer's expectations

  • Dress to impress.  Always look tidy and professional.  Plan your outfit before the interview.  Smart business attire is best, if you are unsure.  Remember, you are not meeting friends for a barbeque or going to a nightclub!

  • Be on time

  • Be polite.  You are on show the whole time you are on the premises and you do not know who is observing you

  • Keep calm.  This can be a challenge but if you have done your research and preparation you should be feeling a little more at ease.  Listen to questions and try to make sure you answer them accurately.  Remember, it's ok to seek clarification if you are not sure what you are being asked
